Last week, I experienced first hand the beauty and wonder of the Cypress of Hilton Head. The residents and staff alike are warm and welcoming. The property is pristine and the location is ideal. I highly recommend this senior living community to ensure you get not only what you want, but what you deserve!

My husband and I have lived at the Cypress for 4 years. The Environmental Services Department headed by Tom Tracy has always been there for us whether it is picking up my garbage if the garbage service misses me, watching over our house when we are away, or superb housekeeping service - thank you Geraldine and Iriana - a special thank you to Tom and crew!

Tom Tracy and the EVS team truly care about the home owners enjoyment of the property. They keep it immaculate and are a joy to work with.

Moving into a retirement community comes with a lot of transitions, but the absolute peace of mind I have seen at The Cypress of Hilton Head has exceeded all expectations—largely thanks to their incredible IT team, Galen and Avern.

In this day and age, staying connected with family, managing telehealth, and keeping up with the digital world is vital. Galen and Avern treat the technology needs not as an afterthought, but as a core part of the community's care. Whether it is troubleshooting a stubborn Wi-Fi connection, setting up a new device, or resolving a confusing software update, these two handle every single request with unmatched expertise and profound patience.

What truly sets them apart is their kindness and respect. They never make you feel silly for asking a question, they speak in plain English rather than confusing tech jargon, and they don’t leave until they are 100% certain everything is running perfectly and their residents feel comfortable using it.

The Cypress is beautiful and the amenities are wonderful, but it is the people who make it a home for residents. Galen and Avern are absolute gems, and their dedication to the members is a shining example of what makes this community so special.

The Cypress is a beautiful, tranquil community with far too many amenities, activities, and opportunities to mention in a single review. What stands out most to me, however, is the genuine care shown by the staff toward the residents.
From wellness programs, health screenings, and educational events to varied dining options and engaging activities, there is a clear focus on helping residents maintain both their health and quality of life. I've been particularly impressed by their commitment to bringing in experts on a wide range of topics—from estate planning and healthcare to hearing health and other areas important to seniors and their families.

The campus itself is beautiful, and the continuum of care—from independent living to assisted living and memory care—provides residents and families with valuable peace of mind. Most importantly, the residents I meet seem happy, engaged, and well cared for.

Get place to live and work

I would like to thank Celia Furr who was the manager of the Dementia care unit at the Cypress. She gave me support and good recommendations.

My therapy dog Martina and I have volunteered at Preston health center for over five years. 45 years ago my grandmother was a resident at Cypress until she moved to the Preston. Celia Furr was one of the first people I met when she was memory care coordinator at the Preston. Then she took a position at the Cypress as health and wellness navigator what a wonderful person! She was much missed when she moved. All staff is wonderful at both Cypress and Preston but I remember Celia being the shining star. All the residents are well taken care of in addition of being well fed! The food is amazing the residents also have plenty of things to entertain them. The grounds are beautiful as well. Out of all the assisted living facilities where we volunteer,I would choose the Cypress to move into when the time comes

The Cypress is the very best and people like Celia Furr make it possible! Celia is the go to person for everything imaginable at The Cypress!

Celia Furr has been a great resource for me both in my personal life navigating care for a senior family member as well as for helping provide information about Senior Resources in the area. She was also instrumental in helping a friend's parent after a significant surgery receive excellent care at the Preston.

My husband and I live near Cypress and have been extremely impressed with the level of services provided there. But what stands out for us is how efficiently things run behind the scenes. We have both worked the elections that are held there and have found the internet (digital) support has been superb. Galen Miller checks on the site before and during the day to ensure optimal connectivity. That is so appreciated because the Cypress residents who vote in record numbers never have to worry about disruptions.

The Cypress of Hilton Head Home Health Services has been providing care for my parents since 2019. For my parents, being able to remain in their home as they age has been the top priority.

The Home Health Services team has made this possible by originally providing services a few times per week and moving to full time care as their needs changed.

The case manager keeps me informed of any changes in health status, or additional needs. The team has built a relationship not only with my parents, but also with me. I never have to worry about whether they are receiving the right care.

The home health department is awesome! Very caring and friendly!

Their expertise and proactive approach have saved us both time and money. They handle everything from troubleshooting to long-term tech planning, and their attention to detail is unmatched. If you need a tech services team you can trust to keep your systems running smoothly, look no further.

Warm atmosphere, friendly community, attentive staff, delicious dining experiences and great place to live!

The staff at The Cypress Club HH is amazing, especially in dining services and with three culinary team. Chef is always looking for new flavors and ideas to create exciting and memorable dinners and events for the residents. Love and passion in food is goal with every dish. Always interesting to see what will be the next flavorful adventure ahead.

The staff is like a big extended family. Many have worked at The Cypress for 20-30 years. The Hospitality program is truly inspiring. A wonderful place to work, and an even better place to live. 😊

The second thing would be the friends you make that are there for you when you needed it. Staying social is very important at this age.

The people living at the Cypress make it a wonderful place to live. The friends you had as a couple stay your friends if you lose a spouse. You have a strong support group. Also the activities and Cypress exursions are most enjoyable. Love the annual Cypress cruise. I wonderful place to live!

Wonderful people. Wonderful place. It has everything a child of someone who is older could ask for in terms of providing the love and attention to an old parent. Accounting department keeps you in the loop about expenses. I wish my mom found this wonderful place earlier but am thrilled she is there.

Everything here is great, including the meal service, the maintenance service, and the recreational activities, including a nice little par 3 golf course that winds its way through the community. Great location within the larger Hilton Head Plantation. Very secure.

Great place !

I have been a resident for five years and am super confident that I selected the best retirement community! Management and employees are top-notch ,facilities outstanding with 5 star dining. Activities are perfectly suited to meet each member’s tastes. However large the total population the entire community’s workforce and residents work together beautifully!

As a visitor, I was treated so well and the residents made me feel very welcome! The Cypress has first class dining with restaurant menus - the food was restaurant quality! Beautiful interior/exterior definitely first class!
